What is the difference between the longitudinal weld and the straight weld of stainless steel welded pipe? 2018-06-15 What is the difference between the longitudinal weld and the straight weld of stainless steel welded pipe? Longitudinal stainless steel pipe welds are welds parallel to the axis of the stainless steel pipe, and transverse welds are welds that are straight to the axis of the steel pipe. When aligning, the longitudinal welds of the pipes should be placed in the upper and left 45° direction, and the longitudinal welds between two adjacent pipes should be staggered not less than 300mm. Transverse welds are welds where the inclination angle of the weld is 0-5 degrees, and the corner of the weld is 70-90 degrees flat welding.
